Finally getting rid of my WORK wheels. They were nice but damn what a pain in the dick. This will pay for some pistons or rods...maybe a block if I'm really lucky.

I have some Work VS-XX Burning Silver 18x8's that I had on the car previously. They were on the car when I bought it. The offsets are different between the fronts and rears, so the rears won't clear the front brembos. I could never rotate my tires.

Thanks, Spamby. They were pretty nice looking. Their functionality sucked for me though. They'll pay for some of the forged internals I need though, as well as free up some precious space in the garage. All in all, I like the look of dark gunmetal (summer set) and black (winter set) wheels much better. They hide a lot of brake dust. :lol:
Thanks again to [MENTION=1172]Alin[/MENTION] for hooking me up with a roof diffuser and the 3M mounting tape. :bigtup: The one that have triangular fins that mount on the rear edge of the roof, flush with the rear windshield.
The weather has been terrible and very cold. When there is a day that is dry enough to keep the car clean on the way back from the car wash, I will install the piece (as well as the license plate delete) and take pictures.

A little bit of both. I've done some extensive reading on the aerodynamics testing of this style diffuser on the EVOs. I think the shape of the roof is similar enough to produce the similar results. The effect may not be very noticeable with the factory wing installed, but I theorize that it will help eliminate the floaty rear end you get above 90mph with no wing.
I guess I should wait a while to install the roof diffuser...
Directly from 3M's website: Ideal tape application temperature range is 70?F to 100?F (21?C to 38?C). Initial tape application to surfaces at temperatures below 50?F (10?C) is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is generally satisfactory.
Maybe I'll get impatient and hook up a hair dryer or heat gun in the garage. :lol:

This is what I do. You have to be quick about it though as the heat sinks away quickly
That's what I'll eventually do, but even then, I'll have to wait for a nicer day. We've been seeing a lot of single digit temperatures and my garage is neither heated or insulated...it's basically just a wind break. :lol:

Lucky you have a garage! My poor thing has to endure the elements. Besides, you could get one of those kerosene heaters... ya know, the ones that look like a small jet engine.
I have definitely thought about that.
How bad are the exhaust fumes with the kerosene or propane heaters? Obviously, I don't want to be getting coloring books for Christmas from here on out.

Kerosene in a small space can get a bit noxious. No doubt it'll burn you out but it stinks to high heaven.
Propane heater is a bit better but it still states not to use in an enclosed environment. Though I've used it for 12 or so hours straight in the garage without issue.

It's time for a brake pad change. I was planning getting this done within the next month or two and was waiting for a free weekend that would hopefully also be a reasonably warm. Well, last week I noticed a TERRIBLE grinding noise coming from the passenger side rear end, whenever I touch the brakes. So I called up Jordan @Defined Performance and ordered both front and rear Hawk HPS pads. I've always used factory pads, so I look forward to see what the performance difference is like.
In the meantime, I've been worrying about what could have happened back there that is making that noise. Hopefully I don't find a broken pad that has gouged the surface of the rotor. The outside pad looks just fine, but of course I can't see the inside pad until I pull the wheel off and get in there. I really don't want to replace the rotors unless it is absolutely necessary.
So, it looks like I'll be doing this on Saturday. Temperatures should be near or maybe slightly above freezing and the forecast shows no precipitation, which is good because I would like to have dry roads so I can properly bed-in these pads. Anyone have recommendations on bedding? I was going to follow the old "60mph-to-10mph braking" 10 times, each time putting more pressure on the brakes than the time before, with the last 2-3 being hard enough to activate ABS. I almost hate to do this with my soft Blizzaks mounted for winter. I will surely leave a bit of rubber on the road. :-(
