Hi. i`m new to this forum.
My name is Kenneth an i live in Norway. I`m a car mechanic/subaru technician.
I`ve got one Gold colored 99 Subaru legacy 2,5 GX as a daily driver an a white 1995 JDM Subaru Impreza WRX STI RA as my special/fun vehicle.

with studded wintertyres

engine bay.. not the nicest, but it`s ? ongoing project.

and now this.. piston nr 4 totaly fu....! so the engine is now in pieces and new parts is soon to be ordered.

Some specs on the sti.. lowered about 2", oil-catchtank, fmic, alu radiator and silicone water hoses, apexi open airfilter, walbro 255 fuel pump, turbo timer (don`t remember brand now) remap ecu.(paipers that came with the car say 330 ish wheel hp)

Welcome. You have two very nice Subarus.
#4 piston in a '95? Seems the piston problem dates back even further than I had thought?

Hi and thank u. i `m very happy with my Subaru`s. I`m also thinking about buying an 2004 or 2005 forester XT. just love the boxerTurbo sound.
I suspect that one of the piston rings have been bad for a while before the piston failed. My guess is that the ecu map is poor and the boost is too high for the original pistonrings with high milage.
