    AirMan's built 06 STI

Really nice car, I hopefully will be getting my hands on my built short block soon and getting mine back on the road. I miss it daily. Oh, and to CobbtunedSTI, pulling the STI motor is not the hard part, the hard part is after a few months, trying to remember were everything goes!

My 06 SGM STI, from begining to now...

Here is everything that arrived today... I had bought some TGV deletes from a buddy, but his were 04-05 top feeds and would not work with my top feed conversion fuel rails, so I sent the deletes and my TGVs to GrimmSpeed and they fixed mine up for me. Thank you Justin Grimm!!!!! And I...

Is it getting faster in here or is it just me?

I left the air pressure alone, and I ran with a set of Bridgestone all season tires. We felt that at the time my Goodrich KDWs were tooooo grippy for the low power I was making back then. I had an issue with it bogging off the line for a while till I started running with the all seasons. She...

Well, I have placed the order for the built short block through Jordan of Defined Performance and hopefully I will be picking that up in a couple of weeks. My heads and cams are with the good folks at Element Tuning, and my TGVs, throttle body, and intake manifold are with the excellent team at...

Is it getting faster in here or is it just me?

Are you using Cobb AP?, if so, are you stage I or II? If you are running AP, use flat foot shift but DO NOT use launch control unless you have forged pistons. I think you can break the 13.0 barrier with a much better 60' time which will come down to your launch. My best off of launch control...

I am actually looking at Tomei unequal length headers. I want to keep the boxer rumble so I am sticking with the unequal length. I have everything else but the headers and mounts, and of course the block lol. The car has been down and parked for just a little over a year now and I miss it...

Well, it has been a while since I last posted here on igotasti, very, very, very few of you drag race your STIs and so I did not have much to talk about and since mine is dead in the water I stopped posting. A lot of things have happened since the last time, mainly a lot of work and saving up...

2006 STi OTS cobb map- 13.1@103.63

Maybe, maybe not. I found I had better success running with less grippy tires. At stork or near stock power levels my STI always seemed to bog a little off the line with real grippy tires. I had better times on a set of Bridgestone all season serenity tires. But regardless, congrats, it is...

    Helo from Malaysia.

Welcome to the forum. I have searched on the internet for a model of a 06 STI. I remember in the old days when model cars were hot, when I look now it is pretty much the same cars from 30+ years ago. I have yet to find one of a 06 STI

Post up a bunch of pictures of this car of yours. Cobb AP and turbo or cat back exhaust. After you put some miles on the car and get a real feel for it as it sits now. These cars are very good at cornering in the stock configuration, hopefully there is a road course track close to you that...
