Zack's '12 OBP STi Hatch, Da Money Pit

My bugeye only put down 280whp the first time I was dyno'd... It was 103 degrees :) Baseline to baseline, I gained 25whp on the dyno just from a cooler day.

top mount or front mount intercooler?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My suggestion is, and always will be, to go with an AWIC. Benefits of the FMIC and TMIC with none of the flaws. Complexity and weight being primary considerations.

top mount or front mount intercooler?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd go front mount if you go rotated. Else, TMIC

With E85 and the V48, I would push you closer to 24psi. 26 PSI with the better TMIC in which you've invested.

top mount or front mount intercooler?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would have nothing to do with airflow....

top mount or front mount intercooler?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember (back in the day) many were using an I/O with UTEC to control the IC sprayer.

It's good to see another self-tuner around here! If you're open to the idea, I'd love to have a look at your map :)

top mount or front mount intercooler?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As others have mentioned, there is no answer as to "which is best." My recommendation would be entirely contingent on what supporting mods are paired with the intercooler. You will lose some transient response and spool with the FMIC and tau-tuning (tip-in enrichment) will be a bit less...

What kind of attention does your STi get?

My guess is exactly what the 2014s make with an intake, header-back, and a tune ;) The 2015 finally gains proper suspension for the GT. Unfortunately, IMO the linelock feature really cheapens the car as it will inevitably become a yeehaw machine on public streets for most rednecks :( Shame, I...

    I hated cleaning my wheels!

Be glad for that reason alone. In reality the wheels are quite attractive and tough to keep that way. I haven't but they are heavy as hell. Estimates are at 25 lbs per wheel.

    I hated cleaning my wheels!

On vacation ATM, but I will do so when I get home. They are a complete PITA to clean. Not many images online: most pics are of the BBS wheels on the LE and Limited. I stole this from Dan's list of OEM wheels on NASIOC

What kind of attention does your STi get?

When I bought my 2015 it was the only 2015 in the area. Needless to say it garnered a lot of attention off the bat.

    I hated cleaning my wheels!

I hate cleaning wheels... Especially the 2015 STi base wheels. My OZ Ultraleggeras would go from gloss black to flat black with only one drive on my 2003 thanks to my Prodrive BBK :p
