Car started much better this morning and the idle is perfect, I still think it cranks a bit more than on pump but it's not enough that I'm worried about it. The only time it would matter is in the winter and I'll likely just run 93 in the colder months. Car just runs so smooth on E85, I love...
So I emailed IAG about my startup issues last night and low and behold I have a new map. Car started much better though it was still slightly warm...the real test will be tomorrow morning on a true cold start but I have an inkling from the way it fired up earlier that it should be fine now...
Video below, but man, look at that AFR at peak torque on the stock map...holy blown ringlands batman. Numbers aren't that impressive but Cobb did another good job of smoothing out the powerband and cleaning up Subaru's mess.
Yeah, I just had to run out and it was the same thing again...and the idle kinda bounces all over the place right after startup up until it starts to warm up some. I'll shoot him an email and see if he can make some tweaks and see if we can get it running smoother.
I used to shoot year round myself but once I got out of the AF I lost my free range that was on base. I actually just printed out paperwork this morning to join a local archery club so I can get back to shooting more frequently. Still kicking myself for not buying a house out in the country...
Will do man, not sure when I'll be heading that way but I'll definitely do a video when I do. I did open the car up a bit when I was running around earlier, runs great, extremely smooth power delivery. Still have a smidgeon of tip-in knock but it's not as consistent or bad as it was before...
Totally agree with that too bud, Cleo did a great job of making some awesome power but also making the car more "relaxed". Jorge had the damn thing wound tighter than a banjo string and it made driving in traffic a pain in the ass. Boost is still there whenever you need it but the throttle...
Lol, that's great. I honestly haven't tested it out yet. I was babying it home so I didn't run out of corn juice and traffic sucked after I filled her up...maybe tomorrow I'll open her up and let the EWG scream with 22 psi being pushed through. :tard:
Yeah, different dynos, different conditions, that's why I didn't set a goal in my head but it still bugged me that it was so low. But my friend pointed out that I had +50 WHP gains in spots from 93 to E85 so it really was a huge difference. That's the bad thing about dynos, you can easily get...
Well the HP numbers weren't that great, it was 83 degrees and humid as hell...but man the torque went way up. Here's the numbers (I'll scan the dyno sheet later):
93: 289.76/347.10
E85: 315.45/393.12
These are uncorrected numbers, JJ said one of the pulls the torque was over 400.
Of...
Yes, the bushings make a HUGE difference, good call Zach! Without them the shifts are still sloppy and you just don't feel connected to the car like you should. My Kartboy SS and bushings are by far my favorite mod to the car, love it!
I won't lie, I love my V3...as soon as Cobb offered the upgrade option I jumped on it. I love being able to monitor 6 things live, the screen is super crisp and it flashes maps way faster than the V2. But is it necessary? No way, you will be fine with a V2 and as far as I've heard Cobb plans...
