    SirMyztiq's Selena

So it is hot in Japan? See, maybe I'm ahead of the curb! John: I'm not sure by what you mean the inserts. My original thought was something like this...

    SirMyztiq's Selena

None taken! I don't know why I thought chrome lip. But the black BBS thing is so appealing to me. :) But maybe Gold with full body black wouldn't look so bad. Tint job, tail and headlights and all...HMMMM

    SirMyztiq's Selena

I know! It just crossed my mind for a minute. Not like the entire wheel chrome, just the lips. Sorta like these except with a chrome color, but now I'm starting to see it could look really silly: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1213924

I know, I love the combo. I must admit that I considered getting the wheels powder black. Going for the all-black stealthy look. Maybe with chrome lips to accent with some silver. But it is hard to change perfection.

You know you own an STI when....

    53. When your significant other gets upset b/c you don't "trust" them enough to let them drive.

    SirMyztiq's Selena

SirMyztiq's Talia So I'm a sponsor. That means you're my minions and you must comply with my demands am I right?! Anyways, recently welcomed Selena to the family. She is a 2005 STi. I'm a previous '05 STi owner and lets just say that she gave her life to save mine. I was young, dumb and full...

    50. When you walk out without a scratch from a car crash that totaled your STi.

New(used) STi, Major Maintenance Questions, Weird CEL and well, even datalog fun!

I will make certain Cobb performs a compression test and a leak-down test. But I'm sure they are planning to do that anyways. What HolyCrap suggested might be what you are dealing with. A bad ring landing maybe? I know for certain that I might have a leak causing bad mixtures that don't allow...

New(used) STi, Major Maintenance Questions, Weird CEL and well, even datalog fun!

Well, I didn't exactly go WOT. I just gave her a little more gas ;) But it is what it is though. The misfires haven't comeback so hopefully is the latter of those scenarios. If I did crack a ring landing, then I guess my insurance is going to have a big bill coming their way. :D I will surely...

New(used) STi, Major Maintenance Questions, Weird CEL and well, even datalog fun!

I have a feeling you are withholding terrible news from me! LOL The misfires went away, they came on only when I tried to push her a bit. I'm currently throwing the "emissions leak" CEL. I have made an appointment with COBB for next Wednesday. I took her over yesterday night b/c I was looking...

Bubba: The problem I was having is similar to yours. After I went stage II I was getting a really rough idle and an "emissions leak detected error" I checked for leaks and replaced the CAI I was getting and with a short ram and still no luck. My A/F Correction was really bad at idle, almost at...

New(used) STi, Major Maintenance Questions, Weird CEL and well, even datalog fun!

To add: I changed the plugs last Sunday I believe. The day i stripped the torx note on the injector. The issues began happening last night after I pushed her a little harder down a straight road. :( I got tempted and went WOT today and it caused the misfires. I know, foolish :(

Here is an update: So my car still has a rough idle. It can get pretty bad at times. I'm waiting to hear from Rek about the MAF sensor to scratch that out of the "potential" list. However, since yesterday the car has been throwing mass misfire codes at me. I've cleared them and there was the...

    OEM sub

Awesome! So you went the true component way or just 2-ways for the doors. I ordered some Pioneers and Crutchfield told me it fit...but then I read that I might NEED some brackets b/c of weird hole pattern by Subaru on the speakers. But, that was an old comment in the review for the speakers so...

I see. I haven't looked at how much space I have under the seat. Or do you just sit that on the floor behind the seat? LOL

    OEM sub

Awesome. I recently purchased a Kenwood 6160 unit and some Pioneer speakers for both the front and rear doors. I wanted to get the sub going without having a huge bulgy box in the back and this looks perfect! They have it at Best Buy so I'm going to go check it out. Where did you guys stick it at?

    Timing belt inquiry

I've read that we should stay away from the Gates blue belts b/c of some reported failures. I'm due for a belt change(now) so I'm trying to figure out what is worth what.
