I changed the plugs but not the injectors. I took her out for a spin and she is still having the bad idling problems. Hopefully the intake will solve those woes soon!
It did...not I can't get the first injector off. I stripped the god damn torx screw!! I took off the other injector just fine(driver's side) but this other one is stripped now! Fuck!!!
Thank you for the info. I was about to start doing this without releasing the pressure first!
How long does it usually take for the car to stall out after disconnecting the solenoid?
I will snap some pictures for you today. I'm pretty sure they are stock, they look...like stock.
Quick question: when changing the injectors, is it really necessary to let the car run until it is out of gas?
I started replacing my injectors and spark plugs. I quickly found out what the GBOD were...I'll have to pick it up tomorrow b/c its dark out.
Where you able to look at the video?
One of them is gold and the other are all black. Here are some pictures.
Yeah, WTF is up with that. I posted some posts through my phone and they never showed up. Then I answered what I thought was one of your posts and then your post was gone!
We will probably see a bunch of reposts pretty soon.
Edit: My spark plugs came in so I'm going to be replacing those...
You might be right about the bigger intake. The "gas cap" code did prompt me to stop a couple of times to make sure the gas cap was really tight. I just want to make clear that the CELs just kind of went away on their own and got replaced by the others. There really hasn't been a "mix" of codes...
I'm running on the Stage II map. I did begin to get these issues after I went Stage II. It started as a Misfire on 1. To a evaporative emissions leak. To a system is running too lean(Bank 1)...it just got significantly worse!
I hope it is the intake! Hopefully the loaner you let me borrow...
Where are the TGVs? I have an idea but I'm not familiar with the terminology when it comes to some of these things.
And I don't have a AFR gauge. I'll ask around and try to borrow one or see if Autozone rents those out.
Here is that data log you requested...
Alright, I just spent the entire day looking for leaks. I sprayed starter fluid everywhere and did the incense trick. I blew smoke into the intake and I thought there was smoke escaping from those tiny hoses connected to the turbo area but when I sprayed starter fluid and did the incense smoke...
Fantastic! I really appreciate your help and time!
I will do these tests ASAP! Quick question: Where exactly do I spray or check for leaks? All the hoses leading to the turbo or around the turbo?
I managed to get my APMANAGER to work. But I will keep your email for reference.
I'm concerned too. She has been way more grouchy lately. At first the vibration and rough idle was light. It wasn't until after I cleaned the MAF that she started being rougher around the edges. I'm hoping that I...
Well, I definitely have an issue with my home PC. Somewhere along the lines the files become corrupted when I transfer them to my HD on my home PC. I just installed APMANAGER on my work PC which is also running Windows 7 but Office 2007(at home I'm running 2010) and it worked perfectly. I can...
Guys,
I unmarried the AP and re-installed it to the car. I thought this was supposed to clear the AP to factory settings. I did another log(before I read these posts) and everything seemed to be working fine. I get home and hook it up after I uninstalled and installed the APMANAGER software...
