    ID1000 Tuning

That is a good video. The only correction I would make to that is that any adjustments to this table is not an adjustment to % of fuel but an adjustment to % of load. I uploaded the spreadsheet. It is much more precises than just randomly adding to the load comp table. The way I often do it is...

    ID1000 Tuning

Oh but you can fix it! Method one will have you adjust the load compensation table to compensate for the stumble. Most of the time this eliminates the issue or reduces it till it is hardly noticeable. If that doesn't work then method two is a fuel line and FPR kit that can be used to reconfigure...

    Engine oil selection

I prefer a good synthetic like Amsoil, Motul or Redline. If you are using a conventional oil then you just have to change it frequently. Synthetic oils have better properties all around and are likely to work better under extreme conditions

    Engine oil selection

Perhaps you should stick with 10W60. If you are hearing piston slap when the motor and oil is at operating temperature and you are using 10W60 oil, then that motor was spec'd and assembled improperly IMO. Do you consume any oil?

    ID1000 Tuning

I have encountered this many a time. Keep in mind that the numbers given in the data sheets are starting point only and the final results may differ. 7% actually does not sound bad at first. To complicate things, the stock MAF is okay if the car is left entirely stock and generally requires no...

    Engine oil selection

Sure thing! Simply put the tighter the tolerances are, the thinner the oil should be spec'd and subsequently as tolerances are widened, like in a built motor, the oil spec will get thicker. For instance in a stock motor that has very tight tolerances (like in an EJ) The engineers have spec'd an...

    Engine oil selection

It would help if you knew the internal specs on bearing clearances and piston to wall tolerance and ring gap. This way we can recommend the precise oil for your needs. As mentioned, driving style and environment have allot to do with the selection of your oil also. Most EJ engine builders...

One is meant to go to the boost solenoid as an air return to the intake. The larger one originally went to the blow by system to capture oil vapors from the crank case and whent to the hard pipe that is capped off. The last one went to the ventilation valve on the intake manifold which you no...

    The Daily/Family Whip: 06 STI

Car looks really clean! Give it some time and you might shift your enthusiasm more on the STi. Modded right, there is little that can compare or even compete. It can hold it's own in just about any auto sport and HPD event.

There will be a difference between finishes from the different brands. Perrin's finish is very consistent but as you suggest, they are pricey. As far as performance from one to the other, there is little difference and near as much makes no difference. If you do anything please reroute the BPV...

Interesting! It looks to me that It might block vision a bit but I guess I would have to be sitting in the driver seat to know for sure. Other than that it looks like a cool solution. I would like to see it all buttoned up

I would just go with ID1000 right off the bat. They will still be very stable at idle yet provide you with enough fuel for any future endeavor be it high HP or E85. They are also very easy to tune. 450whp is just about the limit of the stock block. True reliable results would put you around...
