I can't figure out how to upload pics from my phone, but it's definitely going down now. The car has all the axles and hubs off of it to rework the suspension and install axles. Engine should be going back in soon. Hopefully it makes some good power.
I'm drinking again. Myybe I need to buy another 5858 and put it on my 911 and build that too. Then my girly car could wreck shit too. Twin PTE 5858s on a 3.6L would just be the tits. I'd need a motec to run it all. Hmm......
So I've been drinking and buying parts a lot lately. I am still waiting for my longblock to put in the car. Today I had a few beers and decided that I need a PTE 6466 on it. Also figured it would be nice to buy Girodisk front and rear brake rotors with their Raybestos pads, and then I figured...
So on a spirited drive I managed to pop the welds on my turbo's internal wastegate that held it shut for the ewg setup. So I figured that it's time to put the rotated kit on. I discovered a broken front axle, broken timing belt cover, and leaky headgaskets. I then decided to do a leak down test...
Yes I did. For the record the Evo was going 35mph and the Equinox was going 60mph. The road was very slippery and too cold for the tires on the Evo. The Evo spun and the Equinox T-boned him.
I know the kid with the black STi. According to him the media reports are exaggerated and they weren't going at excessive speed. This is very tragic, and the local car community is shocked.
I'd love the APS 3.5" if I could find it for sale in America. I really don't want to run a E cut on it either. Apparently I've melted the shit out of the muffler in my cobb. It doesn't like track use with my Dom 2.5xt-r.
So my current exhaust system is too restrictive. I'm looking for a 4" catback possibly? What's the least restrictive exhaust system out? Looking for one with some sort of muffler, N1 style is fine. This Cobb catback is holding me back.
I'm not sure how far I am going. I still drive it 500 miles a week easily. I'm getting tempted to just rebuild the entire car sometimes. I think after this step I'm going to start saving for a GTR. I drive/ride in an Alpha 10 regularly now, and it's the next logical step up for me.
I just got bored with the setup now. I have an ETS rotated 5858 & fmic in the mail. I also have torque solutions motor mounts, trans mount, and shifter bushings coming. I also was able to obtain a cosworth intake manifold, and the killer bee coolant expansion reservoir for the rotated kit...
