AEM UEGO AFR Serial output Jibberish

The com port settings seem correct. can you select terminal emulation VT100 in realterm? In romraider it has always just worked for me although the only usb to RS232 adapeter I have ever been successful with is the gigabit but installing and getting the drivers to work on windows 7 and higher...

    E85 tune

If you have the money just go with a kit. Even small differences in ethanol content can have high impact on a tune and it is just better to let the ECU take care of it based on actual content. Plus it makes switching over fuels simple

It was not turbo back. you need to buy the down pipe separately. I forgot where I purchased it though.

HKS DLI II Twin Power Ignition Amp?

I'm curious to know how you have this hooked up. It is unusual for anyone to use a CDI box especially with coil on plug systems. Typically we don't bother with any aftermarket ignition parts because the stock COP system is more than sufficient in most cases unless you are pushing greater than...

Running Rich with a po172 code

Does your tuner have a wide band AFR gauge he can hook up. You need to compare actual AFR to the front O2 reading from the cars sensor. If they differ then the O2 sensor is bad. As batmobile said, a dirty MAF can cause this also as well as the mentioned dirty air cleaner. Also if this is...

    Oil Temp and Idle Time?

Your doing it perfect! Let it reach full operating temperature before you beat on it after that. 200* is correct. There is a heat exchanger that the oil passes through to allow it to heat faster in the mornings and on cold winter days. This same heat exchanger allows the oil temperature to...

    2016 WRX Running Rich

Subaru's just seems to be over rich in general, mostly when there is heavy load... I guess they are tired of people complaining about blowing their engines. There are some lean spots in the tune but one could only guess at why that is. Timing is to high during WOT which could explain the excess...

2015 STi Intakes - All their no tune required claims

The only one is subaru's SPT intake... if something like that even exists for the 2018. Other wise a tune is required.

Here's an update on the Kouki. The work is being done by NorthStar Auto Body and Collision. When I put the car in for work I only wanted them to fill some minor dings and straighten the door seams and throw a coat of paint on it. A year went by and I was wondering what was taking so long but I...

    Boost

The technology has improved greatly over the years. Porsche has been using them for years with good success.

    Boost

Well, as mentioned, it is just to much time for the average tuner to investigate some of these issues and I don't fault them for it at all. A typical dyno session should realistically only take you a few hours if you are doing it from scratch and tailoring Subaru boost control could add hours...

    Got that herky jerky feeling

I would recommend checking for leaks. Have a smoke test done. 9 out of 10 it is usually a leak. Do you have a means to log or look at fuel trims? Check them to see if they are high. Sent from my SM-G892U using Tapatalk
