If your going with new engine, why take risk of using a used critical part. Remember oil is the life blood of your engine. That being said I would replace it and save yourself from a headache later.

Hardest part is remembering to remove the clutch fork shaft, and remembering to have a 10m Allen head socket to remove the cover.
For me I usually start by removing battery > drain fluids> intake pipe > alternator > ac compressor from mount and place where battery sits > radiator > disconnect...
I use an aem gauge for mine. That is till I get one of HolyCrapItsFast flex fuel kits.
Would also recommend getting a wide band afr guage from aem also to monitor your afr
