    Anyone else into flashlights

As mentioned in the Platinum - Firearms thread, I ended up going with a Streamlight ProTac HL-X with the rail mount kit. It is pretty impressive, especially for the relatively lightweight and compact nature. Now my Mk18 clone has proper illumination capabilities. You definitely want to...

    Silver Bullet 2004 WRX STI

Shit man  sorry to hear about this. As for the dampeners. I really can't say 100%. No one could give me a straight answer, although a tech at FIC seemed to suggest that dampeners weren't necessary, so I removed mine. If you don't have an aftermarket FPR I would probably say to retain...

    The Golf Shop

Dude that sounds awesome! I'm sure things are starting to come down in price, but last time I looked, that kind of equipment for a good quality golf simulator was incredibly expensive. For example, I've seen nice setups people have in their basements (that don't LOOK to be super expensive)...

Round 2: My 2015 Galaxy Blue Journal

Nice! BTW, how did you determine the endlinks were bad? I would assume looking at them and seeing a bent/warped shape would be pretty obvious, but otherwise... ...? Also, they probably come with new bushings, but if not definitely get some Urethane bushings. Once again, my...

Round 2: My 2015 Galaxy Blue Journal

Personally, I'm a Whiteline fanatic but if they don't have what I need then Kartboy is my go-to. Check out Tokico when it comes time for struts. I have their D-spec adjustable gas shocks on my '04 STi and I love them.

The Official Food, Cooking & Gardening Thread

Re: The Official Food, Cooking & Gardening Thread IGOTASTi should make one. Might I suggest a coat of arms featuring a Buck's head superimposed over two roasted turkey drum sticks, all perched atop a mountain of mashed potatoes and rutabaga, whence floweth a cascade of squirrel gravy...

    How do you shave?

Wow. I could never do it (the hair length). I'd literally have to be living in the woods and even then, I'd find a way to keep it short. Make sure you take periodic progression pics. Every month or something...

Corned, smoked venison hearts (there's two there, butterflied and trussed together during cooking) and a slab of smoked brisket.

    How do you shave?

This is 100% true. That's why I always tell anyone who asks, to grow it out longer than they would like and then trim it back into the shape they desire. If you keep trying to shape it before it's too long, it will never fill in properly and you'll get frustrated and shave it all off again...

I'm not sure yet. I imagine this is now going to be a lifetime addiction. The one thing I do have planned for it, is two brined (in corning solution) deer hearts. They were trimmed, butterflied and brined for 7 days (in the same stuff used to make corned beef). That's probably going...

I think they are around $190, though this one was on sale before Christmas for about $120. It has a propane burner with a wood smoking tray above it. I'm super pleased with how it turned out. I used apple wood chips and that seems like the perfect choice for pork.

All 4 wheels out of balance??

For what it's worth, Firestone used to (might still, idk) have a program where you get lifetime alignment checks for a one-time $140 payment. I did that years ago, because there are lots of locations around. Then I can take any vehicle in, any time and have them check it for free. Adjustments...

All 4 wheels out of balance??

Those tires were brand new, right? I'd definitely take a look at the current tread depths. Maybe your alignment is a little hokey and it wore two tires a bit differently. I hope not, but it's worth checking. Also, what pressures do you usually run?

All 4 wheels out of balance??

Seems to me that they weren't properly balanced the first time. Strange... What do you think, Alin?

Santa was nice enough to bring me a smoker this year for Christmas. I tried it out yesterday on a 7.7 lb. Boston Butt (bone-in pork shoulder) with great results. It smoked over apple wood chips for about 4 hours and then continued, wrapped in foil until the 8 hour mark. Sent from my...
