Decisions? Is it time to say Goodbye?

Yeah, I mean...I'm not loaded, but I could pitch in a little more than I already do. Just give us an idea of how much we're talking about and maybe we can figure something out. I'm sure at least a few of the guys would feel the same.

Decisions? Is it time to say Goodbye?

Is it a matter of $ to keep it running? From what I can see, I don't think anything needs upgraded.

Decisions? Is it time to say Goodbye?

Damn...that'd be terrible. I don't want to guilt trip you or anything, because I know it probably costs you money to keep it running. But damn... After all these years, you guys are practically family. Not sure where I'd go. If anywhere.

The Overall Diameter of Rims, Their Advantages, and Their Disadvantages

I'm not sure it would "ride great". Look at tire load specifications and how they differ with size. I'm not talking about some non-typical tire that you could make work, but a common all-season commuter tire. And of course a heavy vehicle needs bigger brakes.

The Overall Diameter of Rims, Their Advantages, and Their Disadvantages

Brakes definitely come into play, but by and large, look at curb weight and standard wheel size changes over the last 20-30 years. Wheels are getting bigger primarily because cars are getting larger and heavier.

The Overall Diameter of Rims, Their Advantages, and Their Disadvantages

Look at the curb weights... the 2004 was the lightest USDM STi at 3,271 lbs. and came with 17" wheels from the factory. Fast forward to MY2019 and curb weight is now up to 3,485 lbs. with 18" wheels (correct?) equipped by the factory. That seems to make sense to me. Another example...

The Overall Diameter of Rims, Their Advantages, and Their Disadvantages

The amount of expensive and retarded shit that governments force upon auto manufacturers is insane. I could spend most of the day on this one subject. As of Model Year 2020 (right now), 24-26% of the cost of a new car can be traced to government regulation. Ever notice how tall a lot of...

The Overall Diameter of Rims, Their Advantages, and Their Disadvantages

Wheel size from the factory is primarily a function of the vehicle's curb weight and a tire that matches the load requirement of said vehicle. Cars are getting bigger and heavier every year due to crash safety and road noise abatement requirements, and thus the tires (and of course the wheels...

    How do you shave?

Nice. I thought about getting one of those, but then decided to keep it more on the short side for the foreseeable future. I'm liking this length right now, as long as I keep it shaped nicely. I've had my beard excessively long before, but I absolutely could never stand having long hair. I...

OT: Count To A Million Game!

7773 - I was violently vomiting from both ends through Thanksgiving and the entire weekend. Lost 11 lbs. AND didn't get to do a bit of hunting either. FML. I guess that's what happens when you have a kid in daycare. They should rename that place "Montessori Child Care & Bioweapons Development...

Genuine NEW prodrive mud flaps for GD chassis

I would say probably $200. Rally Armor flaps are ~$140-175 and are super common. I can't even find Prodrive flaps for sale. So you could put them up for 200 OBO and see how it goes.

    Is this feasible?

I'm more of a GD chassis guy, but that doesn't sound unreasonable on E30. However, I would assume you might need some exhaust mods, such as a downpipe, to achieve it. Now for the winter tune on 91. I would be more hesitant to push my luck with a 91 octane tune in the winter (or any winter...

    Lean with Missfire's

Things have been pretty crazy for me over the last month or two and I got behind on this. Great to see that you got it fixed! Sorry you had to go through all that but I'll bet it was a big learning experience.

    Lean with Missfire's

I had him running that map as an extra layer of protection during what seemed to be lean AFRs. I figured, if he's filling up with 93, but running a 91 tune, that might be enough extra octane to prevent or dampen any knock events that would otherwise cause damage while troubleshooting.

New here not new to Subaru

I'm not on active duty anymore, but I can tell you from personal experience that we all truly appreciate the hard work and craftsmanship that goes into building out mobile homes/weapons platforms (of which they are both, for months on end. ) I was in the surface fleet and my ships were...
