    Sway Bar Installation Advice

I'll do my best to cut that white filter I posted the picture of, and pull it apart and post pictures for y'all.

Oh I can believe the stock end links would be a problem. They were surprisingly small for the amount of stress they must be under!

Is there an easy-ish way to open this guy up and get a pic for you? Maybe cut it down the middle and get a cross section? (I don't know If that's even possible, but I'd be willing to try if it'd be helpful)

    Sway Bar Installation Advice

Are you asking about the metal brackets that hold the poly parts to the car, or the parts themselves? The Perrin kit came with new Poly parts to hold the bar itself, and then I reused the factory metal bracket. The brackets were pretty stout, and I didn't notice any obvious warping (though...

    Sway Bar Installation Advice

So I wrapped up the install last night, and everything went well. When removing the front brace that covers the sway bar, I discovered I might have a leak in my steering somewhere, so that's another can of worms. Front sway was pretty easy, and other than getting the rear sway in and out over...

    Sway Bar Installation Advice

Good to know. I certainly won't be tracking this daily driver, but I'll keep an ear out for any popping noises regardless.

No lift. I have jackstands, but the video I watched had the car up on the tires on blocks. It confused me, so that's why I'm asking about loaded versus unloaded.

    Sway Bar Installation Advice

So in the next couple of days, depending on the temp. outside, I'll be installing new sways and endlinks on my '10 STI and I'm looking for any advice or suggestions y'all may have. I've watched the video: (http://igotasti.com/vBforum/showthread.php/1543-How-to-Install-Sway-bars-%2808-%29)...

NEW SUBARU WRX STI 2015 - RALLY AND SOUND TEST DRIVE

Does it have to be on purpose to count? :?

What type of gauge is better?

Well, I guess accuracy and reliability. There seems to be such a huge swing in price between mechanical and electronic that I wonder what that means for the quality of the product.

What type of gauge is better?

So which is better: mechanical or electronic gauges? Also, any suggestions on which brand or style best matches the look of the factory gauges?

Jacking your car up for beginners

See, I'm glad you said that TK-421, because the service manual has the "front crossmember" as a jack point. I think I trust a person over a book! :D

Post Your Requests For How To's Here

TK-421, so it sounds like the boost leak test should pressurize everything all the way to the throttle, and barring any bad seals, should hold that pressure. What is the test I've seen mentioned where people are spraying some type of cleaner on the hoses and listening for RPM changes? Is that a...

Post Your Requests For How To's Here

I see a how to for a "vacuum leak test", but how about a boost leak test? I only mention it as I think I saw it as one of the requirements for receiving an e-tune. Or perhaps I'm ignorant and these are the same thing? TK-421

Muscle vs Import - Mustang GT 5.0 and Subaru WRX STi

Dude can't drive! Subie was gunna win either way, but at least with a better driver the Stang would have had a better showing!

    Used STI missing a part

Depending on the price, I'd certainly be willing to consider it Fast Tuning Products. Looks like just a flat-ish piece of metal, though. Without any structural bends, doesn't something like that have a bunch of sympathetic vibrations associated with it? Does it have reinforcements on the top...
