Went on a cruise last night to get some tuning data. It just now dawned on me the irony of the situation I was in. I went to log... and almost hit some logs haha. Some nimrod in an RV had a bunch of firewood poorly strapped to the back and dropped a few dozen logs over the course of a mile. They...
Back when I was OG there was only the renewal platinum membership. Then when renewal time came around it was pay for the membership or school. Now I'm not OG anymore.
Well you already got the top feed rails and housings from me so all you really need are the injectors. Why don't you ask in the local club if anyone has a spare set of stock blue or pink STI top feed injectors you could pick up for cheap and just swap the injectors? 06+ WRX injectors should work...
Running the E85 should bring your spool back closer to pump gas with stock cam levels, but the potential for more power and torque everywhere is there when running E85 as well. As long as E85 isn't too big of a pain in your location I think it would be worth it. I only have one local E85 pump...
E85 reduces spool time so I wouldn't be surprised to see your torque curve look like the initial graph you posted. What brand of 1300cc injectors are you running? You may be on the verge of maxing those out on E85 though. When I had mine tuned I only had 850cc injectors on pump gas and I ran out...
I had an FP Green on my old 06 WRX. I don't have the dyno sheet anymore but it looked similar to the first graph you posted. I had the shortblock built but stayed stock compression and heads. Super fun street turbo. I agree that you went a little large on the cams for that size turbo. All good...
HolyCrapItsFast the whole purpose of the VSS module is to put a newer model (08+) transmission into and older model (<08) car. All Subarus up through 07 (possibly earlier on the LGTs, I'm not sure) came with a speed "gear" in the transmission and a vehicle speed sensor that is mounted in the...
It does... sometimes... Sometimes it wants to idle at 3k+, others just 2k, when I took it to Vatozone and parked it, it was idling at 750. It's not just idle though. Like I can have it in gear and completely let off the throttle and it'll cruise on its own. Sometimes the rpms decrease if I let...
Fixed again! Got a sprocket from Andy at The Barn and that was the problem. I even drove it down to Vatozone for coolant system flusher and Slaveway for distilled water!
Also, George, it idles about 2k until I work the throttle some. Then it wants to idle like 3k+ so not sure if that's the...
Found it. Apparently I broke a couple teeth off the crank sprocket. I'm sure the ECU doesn't like not knowing where the crank is.
Also, Alin I got it off and in a box, just have to get a quote. I'm trying I swear!
Well thanks to Doppelganger and the use of his tools I got everything swapped out and no more leak!
... but now it won't start. -_- So I get to tear it apart and recheck my timing marks. Only downside to the reverse intake manifold is having to remove my intercooler pipe and alternator to get...
@Doppelganger that would be outstanding. I'm pretty sure one of the wrenches is all I would need. We borrowed Shane's wrenches to do Garvie's head gaskets on his old Legacy and the wrench not for AVCS worked like a champ.
Yes I just picked up all four cam and one crank seal from a guy locally...
