EBCS Setup Question

Recently Vermont and I met up to install my EBCS. We tweaked the map to lower WGDC by 30% and noticed i was peaking around 9 psi. We then tried just reducing by 15% and still the same problem. Here's a pic of my EBCS installation...does anyone know what could be wrong?

The one my finger is on goes to the turbo...is that setup correctly?

Port 2 goes to the waste gate and port 3 goes to the turbo outlet and port 1 goes to atmosphere or intake.

It looks like port 1 is going to the wastegate to me but I can't tell for sure. did you check your wire connections?

Looking at it closer it look like it is hooked up right... Sorry!

port 1 wraps around to the inlet. You can kinda see it in the top of the picture above. Anyways, wiring also looked secure. But i unpluged and repluged it anyways. Any way to test the EBCS to see if its broken somehow?

What would i notice if it were activated? I guess i should try plugging the factory BCS back in and see if i get more boost?

Blah. Im so discouraged right now.

activate it while sucking through port 2. You should also hear it click.

The other thing you can try is reset the ECU to make sure it did not go into safe mode for some reason.

I tried the battery trick and it clicked each time i made connection.

Just for giggles, i switched ports 2/3 to see if that was the problem--it wasnt.

Any ideas what else could be going on?

Also try resetting the ECU. Look at the IAM (DAM) parameter and check to see that it is 1.

Raise up your WGDC and see what happens.

Also verify target boost. Best bet is to log WGDC, WGDC max, target boost and relative manifold pressure and post here. Also, you could have a boost leak somewhere. EBCS can actually mask a boost leak because it is a controlled boost leak.

We raised it from -30% to -15% [vs OTS Stage 2 map] on WGDC and saw no difference.

I'll log this afternoon/evening.

Could a minor boost leak really cause this?

Return the WGDC back to Stock levels. Conduct a boost leak check. We'll go from there.

Stock like OTS levels? The instructions say WGDC should be lowered by about 30%...i wouldnt want to cause any issues. But you guys know a lot more than i do!

Does the AP call relative manifold pressure something different? My only option is "Man. Abs. Pressure"

From the looks of things it is ok now... This all could mean only one thing and that is your Dynamic Advance Multiplier went below the threshold. Usually that is .25 and it means there was a massive knock event and the ECU went into fail safe mode. With this map things may be just fine but I would like to see another log.

This time do not log so many parameters so we can get good data resolution. Log only the following and include a WOT run in 3rd and 4th gears.

RPM
Load
A/F sensor ratio
Boost
Boost Error
Maf Voltage
Feedback Knock Correction
Fine Learnd Knock Correction
Dynamic Advance Multiplier
Injector Duty Cycle
Throttle Position

Nothing else is needed

I noticed grinder said he had a massive exhaust leak in his journal....

Now it's a minor exhaust leak.

It was BOTH collectors that i retardedly forgot to torque down. Now i think it's just at the down-mid connection where the dount gasket goes (but is currently missing).
