Now that everything is set up I get to start transferring my wishlist for parts to post 3 ;_;
(Had to go through three browsers to find one that would let me edit my post. IE kept saying IGOTASTI crashed and Chrome kept loading the edit screen without the text box...lol)
August 23, 2011 - Purchased in Gurnee, IL at a volvo dealer
(Only STi listed for sale near the state of michigan that wasnt an 05 with 157k miles in eastern michigan. 4 hour drive to get there, 4 hour drive to get home, and 4 hours because they had to replace the rear brakes, not do an oil change but claim they did, and detail it which obviously meant spray the tires with cheap wax and not even vacuum it because I found lollipop sticks in the doors and transformers DVD in the DVD player. - 25000$ with three year full extended warranty.)
August 24, 2011 - Detailed vehicle myself
(Included removing the previous owners girlfriends name from the front, 'Bajapanties' was turned to 'JAPAN' on the rear, vacuumed, bathed, waxed, polished. - Free!)
August 27, 2011 - Rims Powdercoated in Burton, MI
(Wheel Refinishers in Burton, MI is a great place to work with and for 400$ they fully examined all four rims, acid washed them to remove three layers of SPRAY PAINT from the rims, powdercoated them in stainless steel color. - 400$)
August 26, 2011 - Stereo Install
(Father arranged for subwoofers and amps to be installed into car into box with subwoofers put to trunk floor which wasted half the trunkspace with the other half mostly used with the box. Father also arranged for front and rear speakers to be replaced with 'something'. I told them they wanted kicker they told me they put 6.5" front and rear but I have no proof of brand. They only installed for two of the channels on my four channel amp to be used - 550$)
September 15, 2011 - Tune Up and Exam
(Preventative maintenance for buying a new car for me including new filters, new fluids, new spark plugs. I provided all replacement parts which is good because the spark plugs were the originals rusted in place, the oil was black and thick as sludge, and the air filter was hard as petrified wood. - 320$ in labor and all.)
September 21, 2011 - Stereo Work Done
(Dynamatted trunk area, ran upgraded kicker RCA's, ran new speaker wires, R&R over stereo amps and subs to find mistakes from installer - 420$)
September 24, 2011 - Personalization
(Placed decals purchased for the car on the STI which included FOOSE Design to be placed on the rear near the JAPAN decal, autobot decal put over STi on rear, Police Interceptor decal placed under rear STi decal, two military decals on trunk, military veteran decals on rear window, AWD Do it on All Fours decal on top of rear window, Move Over decal for windshield, IWSTI decals on both rear doors, new license plate bolts on front, IWSTI frame on rear.)
September 30, 2011 - Lighting Install, Cabin Filter Install & FOB coded
(Xenon lowbeams replaced due to lack of output, LED interior lights installed, LED license plate lights installed, door remote coded which now leads to my car going into security mode when I start it which if I dont rev it slightly after starting it will shut itself back off. - 178$ in labor)
October 19, 2011 - Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
(Due to the consistant issues with starting which by sound and style showed me improper fuel was arriving for starting the engine I had the pump changed with a pump purchased by IA Performance. System appears to have no problems at all with starting now! Thank you IA Performance for your rapid shipment of parts.
October 20, 2011 - Project Page started
To keep myself busy I have made Wix.com STI created by sanglan3 based on LONG left sm to show pictures, part ideas (thus why I put 'plan' on the part sections), and such.
October 22, 2011 - Ordered Hella Horns
(Ordered a set of blue powdercoated Hella Horns.)
