Just wanted to say Hi to everybody and introduce myself. I have a 2008 Sti that i just inherited from my wife. I've done just a few mods so far, Q300 catback and a Cobb off the shelf tune. I am looking forward to asking for and getting advise for all of my WRX related questions . Thanks in advance.

Here is the high-level on how I "inherited" the sti. I used to have a few sleds that my wife and i decided to sell, to still have a "toy" I in turn started looking at a 2004 black on gold Sti which my wife talked me out of which resulted in me buying a truck (Dakota V8 quad cab). Fast forward 4 years later, my wife was looking to trade in her Legacy GT and ended up getting an 08 Sti. This past November she decided that she wanted a new vehicle so I took her car (finally got my hands on it :thumbsup: ) and she ended up getting a Tiguan r-line. It was hard looking at it in the garage everyday but i guess good things come to those that wait.

What does the R-line offer over a normal 2.0T Tiguan?!

I think it is just a bunch of cosmetic stuff: 19 inch wheels (255 tires), side skirts, roof spoiler, HID lamps, and I think leather sport seats.

Is the STi everything you wanted it to be?

Oh yeah :tup: I've wanted one since 2004. I only want to do a few more mods to it and i think it will be right where I want it. There may be some autocross in the future but it is primarily a daily driver so as far as suspension I trying to decide between RCE blacks or yellows. Just trying to figure out if my 17 inch winter setup will work with even a slight lowering. And then a catted downpipe with a tune. Not trying to go to overboard, almost 40.

I don't know about the part where you said "I only want to do a few more mods to it..." because we all say that at one point in time, others at multiple times! :lol:

Be glad you got a 2008 model because the early models offer NO luxury whatsoever. I'm on one side of the spectrum where I don't care for it, but then there are people on the other side who ONLY want luxury. Even the word "luxury" doesn't suite these cars, however yours is eons ahead of mine. :lol:
