Quick journal here. But lots of pics and really quick progress to look through...LOL.
I got the car 2 years ago. Enjoyed the crap out of it. But then last year I put on some of the parts posts below early, the V-Mount and TGV deletes, and the car didn't like that too much and blew up. Like one piston actually blew into pieces. So it was time to start building and getting everything needed to make this car faster and stronger than before.
So I went from this:
To what is posted below.
Process West V-Mount:
GTX3076R .82 A/R turbo (AMS rotated kit), Top Speed SS1 shortblock:
T1 Race Development top feed conversion w/ID1000cc injectors:
Cosworth oil control baffle:
The awesome workspace:
The next few pictures show how I needed to mod my Cosworth baffle plate to cooperate with the Moroso pan and it's stupidly-extreme-heavy-duty oil pickup along with a pic of the finished product:
Random:
Reversed the intake manifold, and made an adjustable mount out of the old AC bracket, mock up:
Fuel assembly, DW 300:
WG and dump tube goodness:
Wrapped goodness:
IC piping, being painted wrinkle black once welded:
Air intake, had to be modded a bit because my ABS is relocated:
FPR mount:
FPR vacuum line, short runner:
IC piping:
Tight IC pipe to alternator clearance. Once clamped in place nothing moves anyway:
Apparently I got the wrong downpipe, haha. No biggy:
Custom poweer steeirtng line routing:
Even with the power steering reservoir moved the old line is a perfect match:
The beauty of HKS:
Power steering mount all chopped up and made better:
Elbow welded:
Just the after shots of the now totally clear BOV placement:
SORRY FOR ALL THE PICS, but more will slowly be happening to it I am sure...
Finished product:
