Testing a new turbo coming to the market.

I will be testing a direct bolt on without tune and with tune. (while logging AFRs) I want to get a dyno pull of a before and after as well to see what the WHP increase is. Im waiting on the compressor map so I can compare both new turbos to the stock. Once I have the compressor maps I will post...

    OVER HEATING like a mother

The crappy part about this is the ARP studs should be retorqued after a heat cycle. It sucks to do on these but it is necessary. I suspect that it is blowing pressure into the cooling system through the head gasket. Do you know what the head bolt torque was? I usually do 85 ft/lbs final torque...

Testing a new turbo coming to the market.

We all know the IHI is kind of a turd. They have their issues but you need maintain them to a T to keep it in good shape. Since we have has -20 degree weather this entire winter in Michigan, my turbo started burning oil. About 3 quarts in 3k miles. So A LOT. I think it was due to thicker oil...

I loved my radar when I had it. Somehow lost the power cable when moving and building the car at the same time. On a side note, made a garage with the EVO, next is the STi once I get some things done to it, clean it and take some pics.

I agree. The EVO is set up for track instead of rally. The STi is a rally car all around. I do like the STi as a daily. The only downfall to the EVO 8/9 as a daily is no cruise control so road trips suck.

Thank you. I had an 04 WRX before my EVO. I actually traded the WRX for the EVO because it was a trade in at the dealer. I got it for cost plus 300 for paperwork. I couldnt turn down the deal since it was a straight trade and I couldnt afford an STi or used EVO since they were going for 25-30K...

The STi has 103k and the EVO has around 135k miles on them. Once I started making over the 500whp mark, it was a pain to drive daily. Just because maintenance is more frequent. 2k oil changes (high zinc content and blowby makes the oil break down faster), plus timing belts, fluids in general...

Thank you. Well feedbeack is difficult because they are AWD and turbo but completely different in their own aspects. I love the Subie sound. For a daily it drives great, sounds great, stops on a dime, and fast enough for me. I think the suspension needs a little more work and the 04 stock pink...

Hi everyone. My name is Joe. Im a progamming engineer at Ford. I have an 04 STi, 03 EVO and 12 F-150. The STi is the daily driver for the time being until I get the itch to build it. The STi has the basic bolt-ons. The EVO is under going its third build. Thanks to Batmobile_Engage to leaving a...
