AEM UEGO AFR Serial output Jibberish

When connected to my AEM Uego AFR via serial with a FT232RL adapter serial output via realterm or terarterm is complete jibberish. Speed - 9600, Data -8 parity - None, Stop bits - 1, Flow Control - Hardware. Rom raider will also not show any input from gauge.

I don't know about Romraider with that guage only Access Tuner. [MENTION=9]HolyCrapItsFast[/MENTION] should know the answer. He is our tuner of sorts here and really knows his shit

The com port settings seem correct. can you select terminal emulation VT100 in realterm?

In romraider it has always just worked for me although the only usb to RS232 adapeter I have ever been successful with is the gigabit but installing and getting the drivers to work on windows 7 and higher is a challenge. When ever I had problems it was always a wiring issue.
