Figured i would start with the current on the car, this is how the car sits today, ill recap and edit this post to include more information about the past mods and experience with the car as well as future aspirations
I purchased my 04 STI in November 2008 from a Nissan dealership, the poor guy "upgraded to a 370z" only to realize today that the STI he left is a lot quicker and more fun to drive than his 370z, not bashing the car, just his own personal opinion.
The car was practically stock with the exception of the clutchmasters clutch/flywheel as well as prosport boost and oil temp gauges, he had the cobb ap stg 1 OTS map and rota tarmac III wheels on the car.

The first step i took with the car was a baseline protune @Topspeed (DYNOJET) in Atlanta Thanksgiving of the same year, do not have the dyno sheets from back then been deployed and moved around too much but initial ots stg 1 had me at 255whp, once we were done tuning we settled on a safe 17psi 265whp tune just slightly increasing boost nothing too serious.
During Christmas Leave when i was back home in michigan i got a bit of luck and got quite a few parts for a great price, on ebay i purchased an APS Cold Air Intake, APS Inlet, GT Spec Header setup, Cusco Strut Bars and a APS tmic style bov all for very low prices. That same week few days before christmas my buddy told me about a car i might want to take a look at for other parts and we went to the scrap yard and found a wrecked STI with a full invidia catless turboback and the rule of the lot was if you could put it in your car and take it off yourself it was 50$...so called my dad got the exhaust off and put it in the back of the truck!
Did not have time to install all these parts until February of 2009, when i went again to Topspeed and was tuned by Scott, once again no dyno sheet wish i had these! at 19.5psi we hit 325whp/360wtq.
Over the next few months March-July 2009 i purchased most of the common bushings put on the STI from kartboy and Turn in Concepts, the smallest of things sometimes make a big difference, a little bit at a time the car just seemed so much better without doing much at all, a lot smoother, cornering easier just a lot more fun with not much money spent.
August 2009 purchased some new rubber, Sumitomo HTR ZII, a very nice bang for the buck tire for the time being, just started getting back into autocross and the previous P Zero Pirelli's were toast.
October of 2009 me and the wife welcomed our first child to the world, our son Ethan, and of course the car modding took a necessary break.
Deployed in December of 2009. During the deployment i purchased the APS DR725 Front Mount, Grimmspeed EBCS, Braided Clutch Line, Fender Braces, Whiteline subframe lock bolts, Perrin front/rear 25mm sway-bar kit, Whiteline HD end-links, and Whiteline steering rack bushings
Install of these parts was completed in June of 2010 when i was on leave, this time i opted to save money and went with a road tune for which i couldn't be happier with, great results while saving a lot of money from being on the dyno.
When i came back from the sand box i looked around for a few months and settled on the BC Racing BR Coilovers which i purchased and installed in February 2011. Great bang for the buck suspension system. Using street specs recommended by Turn In Concepts Camber was set at -2.5 Front, -1.5 rear by Carter Racing in Savannah.
Starting in April i slowly pieced together a whole complete extra intake setup for a STI slowly using ebay to find cheap prices. During this time i also found my tial 44mm wastegate as well as a custom gt spec up pipe with flange and dump tube for the wastegate. I took my time porting the intake manifold and tgv's and sent the throttle body off to grimmspeed. I ordered the 8mm phenolic spacers with the throttle body and received them both back in a week! talk about great customer service. The install was completed shortly after followed by another road tune this time boost set at 21psi. This combination made the biggest difference in power i have felt in any mod i did on the car, looking back at old logs at 3100rpm on my previous setup i was at 13.9psi, currently at the same rpm i am at 21.5psi!
