Double Pumper and 2kcc injectors are ordered. Car is sitting at the shop's new building, garaged, for the duration of my deployment. In January, when they transfer over to the new building, everything will be taken apart and the motor will be inspected to diagnose the overheating issue. An Oil pressure gauge will be going in. A new radiator will be going in. (Both of these are long overdue). Once everything is out on the table and we know what failed, and why, a course of action will be determined and a more definitive end state will be determined. My money is on it being a headgasket. If that is the case then this rebuild will be considerably cheaper than what I'm planning for and I will be very happy.
As of right now I'm prepared to purchase a completely new short block. I'm praying that the heads are fine. I see no reason why they wouldn't be. The car drives fine but it tends to overheat within the first few miles and there's vapor in the exhaust.
