Fans Cycling Up and Down When Key Turned To On

Took my 2008 STI for stereo install.

Now my fans and relays are cycling when the key is in the on position.

Read somewhere that the green test plugs for servicing my be plugged together.

Can't find them.

Please help!

Wow those green test plugs are burried WAAAY under there. For some reason i thought that those went away with the 2008 generation, but the 2007 was my specialty.

If your green plugs are like mine, you really gotta get your head all the way by the pedals, looking up, and root around.

Thanks for the reply.

With some advice from a couple of great guys, i got it all straightened out.

Sure enough, the installer had plugged them together. Not sure why. Human nature, i guess.

Anyway... in the 2008 STI, they are on the passenger side. Just under where the carpet meets the firewall.

Close to the console side.

Unplugged them, everything went back to normal.

Was causing some weird stuff and false codes on the reader.
