The 2.0 is a good motor... they have glass transmissions though

And I'm very sad about that.

The car went up on AutoTrader, CraigsList and IW today... we'll see what happens. I'm selling it for $8500. I owe $6000. That gives me $2500 to buy something else.

Just don't know what I'm gonna do for rides in the mean time.

I'm so sick to my stomach right now because I love this car... I love this website... And it is all crashing down around me.

George is the most optimistic person I know... this is his 4th though... So seeing this happen is a major bummer and sad. One of the greatest has fallen in his battle against the EJ's inferior design. I most other people (myself included) wouldn't have had the balls to do more than 2 engine builds and would have bailed a long time ago.

George has my greatest respect. :tup:

Thank you Jared for the kind words... This is actually my fifth motor and as you have mentioned it is my last for obvious reasons. I just don't have the energy to fix it anymore and I just want to drive my car.

I was planning on buying a beater and drive around on that for a year while I focus on reducing my debt and finding the next cool ride... It might be an sti but it might no either.

Thank you guys... Well I'm certainly not going anywhere, this much is true. I'm just taking a year off from owning an STI and my future plans probably include another at some point... I have just to much passion for them I can't give up... just not with the current car though.

Hey I was in this for the experimentation and I knew what I was getting into... I consider it acceptable losses for the sake of education and ultimately the community but now it is time to retire the experiment and focus now on first getting my self out of debt then on building a proper car with the knowledge I have gained.
