Good point! Hope you get it all turned around soon.Well the mechanic isn't happy at all with the report as you could imagine. I mean since when does coolant (basically water) cause fires? The report is extremely detailed though and explains a lot but still I would have thought it would have been some other way.

Coolant is actually flammable but it takes a surface temperature over 700 F to ignite it. For an open flame to ignite it, it mush be in mist form.
The situation seems slightly plausible to me. It could have dripped onto the headers and it looks like the fire started low and in the front.
