Just traded in my old car (2013 Challenger R/T) for an STI today. It's a car I've wanted for a long time, ever since a motorcycle friend gave me a ride in his WRX about 14 years ago. Now that I have it, I look forward to participating in the community and picking your collective brains for insight into this stellar piece of engineering.

Thanks! Only one picture so far (and even has the nose of the challenger in the background, ha). More to follow later, just didn't get much opportunity to take pictures as it started raining on my way home.

I think it's purely an aesthetic thing, at least for me. As for what else I opted for, I was on the fence about getting the short throw shifter when I was doing my research, but I like it and I'm glad I got it. I had to drive an hour to get this one, but it was well worth the trip, and they had it in inventory, so my impatient ass didn't have to wait for what I wanted to be built and shipped. :cheers:

Yeah the wait always sucks. I had to wait 3 months for mine. Which is a lot better than the 6-7 months for the one I built

Thanks! Oh, it's way more fun. Not to say that I didn't push the envelope with the Challenger, but the STi definitely better fits my driving style (ahem, maneuvering aggressively around idiots on the road.. haha..). The STi drives like its on rails, and the Challenger by comparison was a friggin' boat with squishy suspension. The Challenger was fast, like stupid fast.. I got a little stupid with it for sure, heh, and it did okay in corners, but I'll take the handling and just so-much-fun-to-drive-it-makes-you-giggle STi over it any day.

Welcome to the group that's ironic that you traded in your rt for a sti because I picked my sti up at a Dodge dealership in 06 when someone traded their sti in for a Dodge charger rt.
