6183 - The neighbors dog barked constantly...all night long...so I'm a little tired, but okay. I was tempted to go hose him down until he shut up.

6191,,, wonder if pigs would eat down the grass as well. after a year or two you would have some of the best bacon, ham, pork chops etc. Best of all they would dispose of your table scraps as well....

6196 - Don't get a boar. That'll turn out very badly. Those bastards eat anything and everything they can find. They're impossible to keep in one place and if they get loose, state wildlife officials will hand you a stack of fines and a court summons. And that's assuming the thing doesn't gore you to death first.

...and then it will eat you.

Seriously though...imagine yourself in a far off, magical land, where you could roll around with no catalytic converter and without a smog check.

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

Salmon meat is reddish-pink due to eating krill and salmon, which contain astaxanthin, and dies their meat.
Farm-raised salmon are never exposted to astaxanthin, and have naturally grey meat, but most grocers add dye to make them look more "natural."

Bonus fact: astaxanthin is why flamingos are pink (they're born with grey feathers, but eat lots of shrimp)

6199 - The ones that are naturally pink taste better too; the same goes for trout. When cleaning a trout you just caught, you can tell if it was stocked within the past 6-12 months or a native born trout (or holdover from last year) by the color of the meat.
