The only reason people aren't used to it is because people who own them think they can't drift with them. I think. If I owned one I would be drifting all day long.

Yeah, this might be a stupid question, but do you think they disconnected the front wheels from the drive line?

Maybe they used those block off plates and just took off the front axles

You can drift with a STi but it won't look like it does in that video. There would be a lot less counter steer and the fronts would be digging in for traction.
