I think your taking the right approach. Anything beyond 450hp at the crank is pushing the stock block. 380whp is about where you want to be with little risk IMO.

If my car is done this weekend you can take it for a spin if you want to swing by. I'm also done with your compressor. I'll miss it greatly. I used it with a metal cutting wheel the other day. It was awesome! Sparks flying everywhere. I love powerful hand tools. You can't get the same power with electric... Atleast not in the same sized tool. AIR FTW!

I thought the drive train takes away only about 65-75hp leaving you with an estimated 445-455.

380whp is still 500whp crank unless my math is wrong. Stock puts down 225. 225/300= .75, 380/ .75= 506. :D

Regardless it will be a safe tune with only 19-20 PSI. :)

Lol. I'm not dumb enough to think I'm smart enough to debate the effect of drivetrain loss with you. I am aware of the two camps of thought on this. It appears we are on opposite sides. While I am no match for you I know some one who is.... I here a chopper coming. He needs a thread about drivetrain loss to land in. :D

Let the battle begin!

I love friendly arguments with technical banter that can be used to educate the masses. :)

This is the kind of dissagreements I hope to see on this forum. Between friends and educational.

Oh god what do you have in store for me now... I fear I may not have the energy to compete right now but I will gladly argue in the morning.:))

Other than to say that drive train loss is a constant. LOL

I thought our drive train loss was +/- 25 percent. That would close to 500 bhp in bad's case.. either way this thing is gonna be a beast.

Hope the issue with the wg is a easy fix.

You'll all be happy to know I retract my statement. Drive train loss is not a constant. Don't know what I was thinking because as I sat at work trying to prove myself right I kept thinking to my self "well now thats not right" and "well now neither is that damn it".

I concede.
