Im trying!!!! $300????? Please!!!!

Damn, $450 absolute lowest and you have to pay shipping. So, around $500 shipped.

If anyone buys it, make sure you do proper research. The dude has an 06 STi and Oswald states that all years have minor differences, so each subframe is custom built to order.

I can't be buying anything right now. I'm trying to pay off the wedding and honeymoon as soon as possible, so I can afford that shortblock for my build and all the other shit that goes along with it.

If I were closer I would jump on this. But think I might go carbon fiber 1 peace for new setup instead

Besides my desire to save up enough to buy the shortblock I want and get the transmission work I need done, I have another big reason to save money. I've known for a while now, but haven't told many people yet but my wife is just over 12 week pregnant. She is due around May 21st.

Thank you! Life is getting more complicated all the time. You'd think working 40 hours a week and going to school in the evenings was enough already.

Congratulations.. with time you will adjust. Hard to believe 5.5 years has passed already for my youngest. It will get easier.

That's why I need to get the car done, or nearly done, before the kid arrives. I'm pretty experienced with operating on little to no sleep. Such is life onboard a warship, although that was years ago and I'm not that young anymore.

So I'm back to pondering my engine build. I hope to buy the block in the next month or two. In the meantime, I can get the transmission sent off for a refresh, including replacing my completely destroyed synchros for new carbon steel ones; might as well replace the shift forks and anything else that needs attention at the same time.

Currently, the Batmobile has a 5-gallon methanol injection system installed. I think I'm going to remove that and just go with straight 93 octane to reduce the possibility of destroying the engine in the event of a methanol system failure. To make up for the lost power gains, I'm seriously considering 272 grind cams. Not only should that help support good top end power, but the exhaust note at idle is unbelievable. It sounds like a built V8 with a turbo.

Anything else you guys can think of that I will need? i.e. gasket kit, head studs, seals, etc...

A nice shaved 2.5i NA manifold would go nice with those cams. I've actually been searching for a deal on a set of these cams as well for my build.

I've heard only good things about tomei cams as well and would think they are one of the better street cams but they don't give you as much power compared to other cams. Tomei is most likely the cam I will go with way in the future lol.

Been out of the loo, does Delta Cams do anything for your year?

I ran them in my EJ201, the 1500's for rally. Amazing stuff. More track and power? Run the 2000's

What's the advantage of using a 2.5i NA manifold? Larger plenum? Better flow? What, if any, other modifications would be required to install this? Is it THAT MUCH better than the factory STi manifold?

Other than the possibility of adding 272 grind cams, I was hoping to swap everything from my current engine over to the new shortblock.
