Definitely been keeping busy lately. Here's the latest from the backyard garden monstrosity and our kitchen.

^^^ My girlfriend and I picked ALL of this from our garden just LAST NIGHT. I'd say it has done well this year. ^^^

^^^ Homemade dill and bread & butter pickles, plus a few jars of tomato jam/marmalade. ^^^

Nice! Love growing my own food. The only problem with it though is you become sensitized to the way certain veggies taste when fresh versus store bought. So much so that when I do buy stuff at the store, I can't eat it. Thank God I have access to a variety of farm stands. Otherwise I would starve.

Absolutely. I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes when I'm harvesting or pruning the garden, I eat a bunch of stuff before I even get in the house.

Things picked after ripening on the plant are always better than grocery store stuff, which is often picked before ripe so it doesn't go bad before it gets to market.

I have my father canning food now and collecting seeds to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. I love going to his house because of all the fresh produce. He has so many resources for fresh food even beyond the garden. He lives on the water and we have access to fresh seafood like clams, crabs, a variety of fish and shrimp. All Free for the taking.
