Yes but a BMW 1 series does not.... They have a shoddier quality than any Acura or Lexus I have seen.... What you are paying for with the 1 Series is that little plastic and acrylic badge on the front that says BMW... Hell you can get a bass M3 for $60k. If you really want something German then why not a C63 AMG which start in the low $50k area and have more power than either an M3 or 1M? Heck that is right in the price range of the Nissan GT-R, one of the best handling, riding and accelerating cars for under $100k. What BMW is doing with the 1 series is ripping people off.. plain and simple... There cars have loads of mechanical problems due to poor build quality. The same thing can be seen in Mercedes of recent. Ever since the mid 90s Mercedes have become very un-reliable.... My suggestion, if you have $60k just burning a hole in your pocket that you need to get rid of on a fast two seater car, pick up a used 911 turbo that still has a warranty on it... Most Porsche 911's are well maintained and cared for rather well. No one need ever know that you bought it used...
