VVT with a 64mm extended tip wheel capable of flowing more than 1000 cfm or 80 lbs/min. I want to bring out the full potential. Serious headwork will be done of course.

That's the :tard: part. I've identified the weaknesses of the EJ257, and possible ways to fix it. If that fails, I'll just drop in an porsche H6. :tard:

The weakness = the stroke, how you going to fix that? Not really much you can do on a flat 4 with that is there? That is why teh 4G63 pwns.

From what I had read the EJ257 has to work a lot harder than normal 4 bangers because of such a short stroke. I have no info or knowledge to back this up besides the piece I read on that other STI forum.

Short stroke engines should be used for high rpms. that's the way to make power. Look at the high power multiple cylinder engines. short stroke compared to bore, high rpms. I just need to up the redline and get the head to flow for that.

All I can say is good luck and I commend you, I gave up and went to the dark side lol.

I understand that completely. If I wanted simple power, I'd simply have to change the head studs in the S2k and bolt up a turbo. BOOM! 1000HP rdy.

I can't take the S2K seriously man sorry. 1000hp and boom trans goes faster than my evo, can't fit wide tires, etc.... I dispise S2K's.

I have never had one run with me whether it be at Bandi or on the street, guess there is the "white whale" S2k that could smack down my Evo but I have yet to see anything come close.

Stock S2K versus rek's stock (power) 09, he couldnt pull on me until 5th (120+). The handling out of the box is excellent, and honestly it's a toy to teach me better driving technique.

Dig or roll? Lol I already know but asking anyway. Stock STI's are so fuxing slow from any kind of a roll over 15 MPH.

To add on to this I would be willing to bet a large sum of monies my basic TBE, CAI and tune Evo would own my buddies 09 STI with TBE, CAI, tune and Meth from any roll. The dude can fucking drive so no dig for me because he would own me even if I had a 500 whp Evo and he had a stock STI.
