The answer to your question is the advantage to changing brake set-ups would only be if the set-up incorporates the use of more or larger pistons to distribute the clamping power more evenly but it also needs paired with a larger pad and disc so that it has a bigger area to do this. As mentioned above some of the kits have a larger resivoir in the caliper for more fluid which means the ability for more cooling, also the larger disc size means more disc that is in contact with cool air which is help cooling the system.
