One of my good buddies is an SR geek. His car is a S14 with the redtop motor, 2871R turbo, etc etc. Car is very quick n he tracks it. It's taken lots of abuse but then again its the second motor that's been in the car. Believe me he's quite avid about that motor over any subaru motor but to each his own, he is very 'in the dark' when it comes to subaru motors. I'd take that SR over most 4G63 motors in a heartbeat tho.

The GT2871R was the turbo I had planned on. They're awesome. Full boost at ~3500 and 380-400whp on pump gas.

Those things are amazing IMO. I hang out with all the Nissan guys in my area and I some how feel inadequate with my lowly STi.

So I will soon be in possession of a super top secret device.

It will be a prototype unit and I will be the only person in the world with this besides the original designer. The intention is to provide end user feedback and criticism and to promote the device to the community to gauge marketability. I am to test ease of installation and initial programming and provide feed back on features and functionality and to make suggestions for improving the design and functions.

It will be multifunctional with a variety of inputs and outputs and it is Subaru-centric for our cars only! That's pretty much all I'm allowed to say at the moment but I will soon have it and install it and I will provide more info at that time. I'm very excited! :tard:

I'll give you a hint. It goes in the clock pod area. Maybe I'll give you a little more... It connects to the ECU.

Sounds like George discovered this:

...He's only 5 years behind. Shhhhh.... no one tell him that he's not the first with a clock pod. We want him to feel special.

Special.... :tard:

Wow George, this is really comprehensive, definitely will do through it in detail.

In skimming, this caught my eye on page 27

"Shit over one column and repeat till
you reach the end of the table. "

If I could have the original in Word, I can happily proof read it for you - just read through it all, some spelling and grammar to clean up, but reading well.

Some suggestions:

- in the tips and tricks section, provide links / URLs to some of the better known tools out there
- maybe on the WOT logging section - reference IDCs - as my experience has proved, you can't always rely on the 'professionals' to have properly matched the tune to the fueling capacities (with potentially devastating consequences)
- also in that section, maybe reference the difference between CAN and SSM logging, and in particular the importance to log limited variables, and look out for 'lag' in the logs (i.e. variables not coinciding with other variables on the same line)

This is going to be a great manual!
