7565 - No, I'm not moving overseas. The company is based in France, but they are looking for someone to manage their USA midwest-to-east coast group.
I'm still going to follow through with the whole process and see where it takes me, but I'm afraid they are not going to offer me the same salary that was previously mentioned by their sales manager. Apparently, that salary was offered to a guy with 20 years experience in an EMC laboratory. I have almost 4 years experience in EMC, but also 8 years of experience as an electronics technician in the Navy, working on satellite communications, radar, inertial navigation systems and air traffic control communications.
The position would require a considerable amount of travel, so if they don't offer me a pretty hefty salary, then I'm not interested.

7567 - Ehhh, shit happens. I told him that I'm very happy in my current position and really like the people I work with (which is true), so I'd need a substantial increase in order to leave. Especially considering that I don't have to travel at all right now. The sales manager told me $110,000/yr. plus an annual 10% bonus.

7569...partly why i am still in my position at UC Davis...had many offers to leave but not many that pay more than i make now when I include all the benefits. Also seniority is a Big thing for me and i would hate to go from being on top in my group to bottom of another group. Hope it works out for ya brother.
7570 - I figured it was probably too good to be true, but honestly, who doesn't salivate over a salary like that? I just have to pursue it, but I'm not overly optimistic. If I didn't already have a job, it'd be a no brainer. But at the same time, I really, legitimately like the group of people I work with and this is probably the best boss I've ever worked for. So it's very difficult for me to choose to leave. We'll see how it goes and of course, I'll let you guys know what happens.
