7579 - After much intense consideration, it looks like I'm going to have to turn down that job offer. There's absolutely no way I can juggle college coursework and traveling for work. It's bad enough now as it is, but when I get into classes where I have mandatory lab days, I'll often miss them because I'd be on business trips. It'll take my 10 freaking years to get my degree and by the time I'm ready to finish, they'll tell me that the classes I took are no longer valid. I guess it's just not the right time for a major change like this. Oh well, I'm still young...ish. I'm sure there will be other opportunities down the road.

7581 - Ehhh, shit happens. On the bright side, I have high hopes of getting promoted this year. At least I better get promoted this year :lol: because I'm already up against my salary ceiling of my current position.

But yes for me i made same decision some time ago while i was still in college. Didn't start pursuing new opportunities until i was finished with college. Now I am a senior Systems administrator for my department and have my bachelor's degree. Guess what i am trying to say is that keep grinding and you will eventually find what is right for you... Best of luck bother.
7585 - That's much easier to do if you have an offer letter in hand with a salary listed in black and white. We'll see how things go over the next 6 months. Headhunters have been beating down my door recently. Harman, Bosch, Continental and Johnson Controls to name a few. Harman has been the most persistent, but none of them are willing to discuss a salary range for these positions unless I go through their perspective hire process.

7494 - OMG I'm so burned out with this testing. Just about 3 hours left to go. Then I think I'm headed to the range to put a couple boxes of ammo through the FN and the Glock. I'm in serious need of burnt gunpowder aroma therapy and as far as I know, nobody makes candles like this...
