6188 - I'm probably going to buy two tickets for the Detroit Princess. It's an old fashioned river boat that goes up and down the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor (Ontario). They've got live music and a dinner.

I'll have the ring with me, but decide once we are there (since I've never been on it before and don't know how nice or memorable it will be just yet) whether or not the moment is right.

6190 - :rofl: forgetting it at home would be terrrrrible!!! Hiding it shouldn't be a problem. If I can conceal a 9mm...which I regularly do...I should have no problem hiding a ring.

So I did get those tickets for the Detroit Princess. Then I figured, we won't be able to drink much if we're going to drive home right afterwards, so I decided to get us a "High Floor - River View" room at the Detroit Marriott in the Renaissance Center. For those that aren't familiar with Detroit, the Renaissance Center is a massive tower complex where General Motors has their headquarters. There's a concept car showroom, a dozen restaurants and bars and the hotel all in the same complex. Here's a view of the "Ren Cen" from the Windsor, Ontario side of the Detroit River.

6194 - The date will be May 7th. We don't really have anything else special around that date. Our anniversary, so to speak, is April 2nd. May 7th seems as good as any other day.
