So far so good with the new brakes.
They prove to be very linear and consistent. A touch less aggressive when cold compared to oem but still very good. They shine when you give them some heat.
Pedal feel is very firm and I can say that the lines made a very significant improvement.
I am having to relearn braking as overall they are very different from the oem setup.

Give it a few days and tell us how much better they are once youre used to them.

Ok another update with the brakes.
Very nice and firm and stopping power is great. Overall a better setup than oem. They are very linear and have tons of grip to the limit of street driving. A bit pricey but I am happy how they are performing.

Ok. I'll work on it.

The STi is more fun to drive. The cayenne is an SUV so it's not like they're in the same league but she does perform well for a hoss.

Been thinking if selling the Works and going with a smaller 17" wheel. Wheels are cheaper and tires are very cheap. Plus you can get some really light wheels in that size.
Any thoughts ?

Like the stockers! :fuji:

Grab a set of 05-07 bbs wheels. Theyre pretty cheap for their weight.

Well, i like the look of the 18s, especially on the GR. If you're ever thinking of doing a bbk, you have lots more options that'll require 18s. Rubber for 17s really isnt THAT much cheaper, at least in my buying experience so far.. And weight savings between 17s and 18s isnt really anything to write home about unless you're in some competitive class and really need a few tenths of a second. And i'm pretty sure you participated in my rant a while back about lightweight wheels...

He makes valid points. Honestly, of there was a good, lightweight, and strong 19 I'd run that. I think 17s are too small on these and an 18 works well if you either don't lower it or lower it very little. It looks more muscular. If lowering any appreciable amount, I like 19s. That's strictly from an aesthetic point of view, however.

I actually moved from an 18x8 to a 17x8 so I could fit a fatter tire without rubbing. It's made such a huge difference. All of the places I've lived throughout the country over the last 6-7 years have had terrible roads throughout the area. The 40-series tires on my 18's damn near rattled the teeth right out of my head with every road imperfection. It's surprising how much softer the ride is with 45's and I still don't feel that I lost a bit of cornering capability.
