Hmm... ok - that didn't seem to work so well - very, very lumpy on the bottom end with multiple stumbles on the way up tp 3400RPM. You can also see it in the short vs long term fuel trims - have a look at the graph, top is long trims, solid - bottom is short and long combined...

Wow! I wasn't expecting that... I need to think about it for a bit. In the mean time can you try this...

Set both your cruise and non cruise load comp tables to all zero and try it again.

Okeydokes will do - do you want me to post the logs for the above? Not enough for full load comp, like yesterday (plus I had a shit day, so I took it out on the throttle a little :x)

No need. Maybe make the changes and then take some logs. No rush. Go grab a beer and relax.:)

Oooo. I haven't had whiskey in a long time. Guess I know what I'll be doing tonight!

Ok, interesting. Definitely much better zeroed, but still a very distinct stumble at around 3000. On tapatalk, will upload today's logs as soon as on pc. Any ideas Holy? Should I do another long comp drive?

Yes do another long comp drive. After I see that, I will decide whether to apply those changes or apply my top secret load comps.

OR>>>

We could experiment by applying a global correction to the load comp table by making every cell something like 10 and see what that does. This will tell us what direction to go with it.

Your choice!

Ooohhh.. the top secret option sounds good

Funny you mention the '10' correction, because whilst the base map that was put on, whilst horrible on the MAF scaling, had no stumbling - and the whole table is 14.8, which seems like quite a random choice to me...

Here are todays logs, just in case - will try to find the time over the next two days to do a nice long drive again! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3099895/TD D 30 Mar 2011 Log town drive.rar

Okey dokey. I'll have a look!

Maybe try the 14.8?

honestly I would rather you try 10. 14.8 seems to much to me. If we need more then we will add it. I just want to see if adding load improves it or makes it worse and then we will make the real adjustments to just the area of the table that is giving you the problem.

Ok, tried a 10 correction across all cells in both tables, and then logged extensively - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3099895/TD D 31 Mar 2011 Log town drive.rar

Argh... drove like a dog under 3000 RPM, horrible hesitation, especially under load (e.g. on slight incline on highway, slowly accelerating from 2200 upwards). Definately did something though, crunched the number (hopefully correctly!), and the correction to RPM graph, whilst a similar shape, seems to have shifted markedly down (by about 10%, strangely ;) ).

Ahhh. That graph is very revealing... I will unleash the secret comps and you will see what I did coresponds to the graph very nicely. I just have to wait till I get home tonight and I will post it up for you to try.

Thank you for trying this.

Short and sweet cruise up and down the main road - epic win! Massively smoother, basically not discernable stumbles!

Really? Are you yanking my chain?

Pleas tell me you are not cause I have such a huge smile on my face right now! :D
