That's probably a lot more accurate than my 16" Mini-14 barrel. So I had to go with a tack driver and get the 24" bull barrel. I've wanted a bull barrelled rifle for years, ever since I saw someone shoot a woodchuck in the top of the head at 292 yards with a .223 Remington and a bull barrel. The 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge, with the higher pressures and velocity can take full advantage of the 24" barrel to the tune of ~3,400 fps. Anytime you have muzzle flash, there is wasted energy. You want a barrel long enough to burn up every bit of that powder while still inside, propelling the bullet that much faster.
