I watched some vids on the Cheytac .375 M200. Damn guys are hitting targets at 2 miles!

After watching this, a coworker and gun nut came by, I was talking to him about it. He produced some vids of him doing some 600 yd plinking with a barret 50. The guy who owns the gun, not the coworker, is loaded and spends money when someone tells him something is cool. My coworker immediately rushed of with a glazed look and said he is going to talk him into buying the damn thing so he can throw lead with it. Lol

If you can't afford it, find someone who can! Lol

Pertaining to gun sales, where does everyone buy their guns at or parts at? Whether it be in a store or online...I would rather cheap out on my sales tax in north carolina lol I am looking for a full upper receiver for a ar-15. Any and all answers are extremely helpful

I'm glad I was wrong last night...

I thought I was going to encounter an intruder in our back yard. Fortunately, it didn't go that way. My girlfriend and I went out to the garage to organize a few things last night around 9:30pm. The neighbors dog started going nuts right as I could hear crunching in the leaves. Any of you guys that hunt, know just as well as I do that squirrels, rabbits, deer and so forth all sound pretty much the same when walking in the leaves. Until you see the animal, it's virtually impossible to tell if it's a huge buck coming your way or a big squirrel. All the same, I've heard before what I thought had to be a deer in the woods and a minute later, here comes a hunter up over the ridge. Sounds can be incredibly deceiving. We kept quiet and listened for another minute or so and both of us felt it sounded enough like a person to warrant checking out the situation.

I stayed out in the garage (the sound was coming from the outside corner of the garage) while she went in and retrieved my pistol. I sent her back inside and went around back to check it out. It ended up being a HUGE ass rabbit messing around in a pile of leaves...which of course was driving the neighbor's dog crazy. The main thing was that it was RIGHT along the side of the garage...within 2-3 feet, which of course made it sound like someone was creeping around the house.

Holy shit...is that Streamlight weapon light/lazer combo ever bright. I could have read a road sign at 60 yards with that thing...way further than one can accurately shoot a pistol.

Check your local laws and check out gun broker. If you buy one on that website, they will ship the gun to an FFL Licensed gun shop in your area and of your choice. That shop generally charges about $25 to make the transfer and the general courtesy it to contact the shop you plan to ship to before you make the purchase. Then you're all set.

Once again, it should go without saying, know your state laws before you buy/sell firearms. Besides gun broker, there are other similar sites. Google searches return a few. Sometimes, Ebay will have small parts and tools.

One thing I found very useful for all kinds of guns, ammo and related stuff is actually Facebook groups. What I see in my area are groups with names like "tri-county gun swap". Search for groups in your area because if for example your laws are like mine, you can buy long guns from individuals but need a ccw and/or a permit application to buy a pistol from someone. There are often good deals from people who have shit tons of ammo or need some money so they sell the guns they don't really use.

Upper receiver for a 5.56. Something around a short barrel but not so short that I have to pay taxes on it every year.

As for ammo, 40s&w and some 5.56mm

Something like this on the 5.56?
DPMS Panther Amrs 16'' AP4 BARREL ASSEMBLY W/DETACHABLE CARRY HANDLE Model # BA-AP416CH.

If you can get me models of the items you are looking at I can help. On the ammo same thing would apply as there are so many manufactures and variations available. I primarily do Golf, Bikes & Home Audio & Visual here at work so I am not totally familiar with all that is available but can look it up in the system to get you cost and then can have one of my gun guys finish it up for you if you want to get it. I will only be willing to do this for Platinum members or Lifetime Members (Haha if that happens) only as long as J.J. is ok with this.

Guns, guns and more guns.

The "armory" is usually very well organized...usually. This weekend was an exception.

My gf says I looked like a kid opening presents on Christmas morning.

This is hopefully the only time you'll see me in my underwear.

Just trying to get everything in order before I sell my first Mini-14, since I bought a newer one that I'm currently customizing.

Hi, I have only held a Mini-14 at the NRA convention in Pitt. I thought it felt very easy to aim and very natural to find the target. What's your experience? I got a Stag AR-15, which I like for the capacity, but wondered at times if I should have gotten a mini instead...
