So I call the Cumberland County N.C. Sheriff's Office to apply for a position, tell them my qualifications, training, etc., sir I really want to get you aboard you would be an asset to the dept. but I cant start the hiring process with you. me- why are there no positions, them- no but we can only start the process on people who live within 40 miles of the jurisdiction, me- okay thats fine I plan on relocating, them- well put your application in when you get here, me- Im not moving unless I have a job, them- I cant you help you then.
