Cobra got dropped off at the house today so we were able to look underneath, it's shot. Got the hood open finally, strut tower shoved onto the block, crushed the oil filter into the motor.

ok since no one seems to be answering my thread in the engine forum about this... ill ask here... does anyone have any experience with the p0302 code (and if you even mention changing the spark plugs i am going to pee on you through your computer) i already changed the plugs and made sure they were gapped correctly... there is so much scattered info on the web about this and NO ONE SEEMS TO HAVE AN ANSWER... no i have already started a thread about this over on di so i am just going to link it here (yaya cross post go ahead flame on maggots haha jk) but it will give you an idea of what is going on http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23443

Recently saw some information about this same issue over on IWSTI.com. Guys car was running very poorly with a miss fire code that kept on re appearing. Turned out to be a partially clogged fuel pump filter. This sounds like it might be what your are running into. Sounds alot like it since you ran the car low on gas then a miss fire code devlpoped. Need a more info but this is the best i have as of right now.

On a side note have you though of changing your spark plugs?

Ring gear is ground flat almost, 5+ gears are toast, pinion looks like a smooth cone, multiple bearings are toast. Looks like I'm getting a new trans.

Trans cooler that the PO installed pulled out where the line should of been flared. How much should I sell the trans for as a core? I have someone who wants to buy it.

@DK you might wana send a pm to fuji as he has had more exeriance with busted STI trannys than any one else in here. All I can tell you man is when it trashed my 07's it was gonna cost me 3k for the dealership to rebuild it.
