It was a perilous drive in to work here as well. The whole state got slammed last night. I'm still holding out hope for
good weather by mid March though. It's probably wishful thinking though :|

I hope my parents' place in PA doesn't have any flooding issues. There is still a ton of snow
on the ground (~3 hours north of JJ) and when it warms up like that, the sump pumps in the
basement run almost constantly. One year, we had that issue and then the electricity when out.
By the time it came back on, there was so much water in the basement that our volunteer
fire department had to come and pump it out.

We had a small levee built to keep the crick away from the house if it overflows. It kinda
cracks me up because it makes tons of debris pile up in the neighbors yard.

I damn near wrecked the Batmobile today. A half second difference and I would have t-boned someone at ~40 mph.

The roads are TERRRRRRIBLE right now. It's about 35 degrees out, everything is melting and flooding the roads with chunks of ice, melt water and slush. Some ass hat, coming the opposite direction in a huge truck was riding the center line (which is loaded with slush) and threw a 5 gallon bucket's worth of shit all over my windshield. I saw it coming and switched my wipers to the fastest setting but still had ZERO visibility out of the windshield for a couple seconds. JUST as this was happening, some doucher in a hoopdy turned in front of me and bogged down in the slush, losing traction. I regained visibility just in time to stand on
the brakes, pull into the oncoming lane and go around him.

It was a butthole-puckering experience, believe me.
