I saw that one. That's awesome. I have to read it over and over again to grasp it all. I also was talking about the link to the morons you and Reks where fighting with.

Brother, have you seen the child eating monster of a turbo that is going under my hood? I will most likely shred the STi tranny, let alone a shep. And what I'm talking about is how they feel. Yes, I've seen pustangs hit 8s, but do I want to dd that? Hell no. The way the IXs I drove acted was ghey. Intake and exhaust compared IX just doesn't feel as fun to me. Then again, I have no clue what power the current tuning wizardry done on my STi puts down.

I'm actually looking into trannies for WHEN I blow the stock STi one. I anticipate breaking the DS, all four axles and shredding half the gears. 10s should be a joke and if I learn to drive worth a damn, I should hit 7s. Yes, the weight it's at currently won't allow that, but I have my ideas.

Here's the other thing: working on the STi seems much easier to me. Transmission drops and engine installs are easier. I hate installing EVO transmissions and clutches.

STI's don't hit 7's,8's or 9's very often so good luck, I'm pulling for you. = ) Your rear axle is a known weak point from what I have seen over the years, assuming it has similar axles to the GD so I'm sure you will break it fairly easily.

I do have a theory on why the STI trans seems so beefy, most STI's don't put out that much power (relative to Evo's build for build) so the trans really is never tested. If you saw more STI's rolling around with E85 and FP Black power aka 600/600+ it would be really interesting to see how the trans and diffs held up. My guess is you would see a lot more posts like on Evom. Again, that's just a theory and you obviously know a lot more about this stuff than I do so if I'm totally off let me know.

BTW, I think you're the only person in the history of cars to think an STI is easier to work on than any other car in the history of cars let alone an I4 car.

Do I need to go troll Nabisco for you guys? I'm pretty much a pro at trolling, see my references at Corvetteforums, other STI forum and here.:tard:

I need some clarification. I have always been told that evos don't brake transmissions so much as they brake the transfer case gears. Which one is it?

Also my builder/advisor on my crazy stunts has a 790whp or so GDA bug eye with sti trans "stock gears and axles etc" pulling 9.8 I think it was the last time. It brakes the rear axles quite often, but then again they have many on reserve. They did strip the 4th gear at the dyno and the last reading that the pc showed was about 840whp, This may be a dyno jet but dam those are some high numbers.

Any way back on topics, Nabisco sucks Ewok balls. I had an aem ems complaint thread over there and it got taken out. No apparent reason.

I have to agree with Fuji on the STi being easier to work on. I think my case is because of familiarity though. Ive been working them for 7 years so Im kinda used to them.

I havent seen many STi's even break into the 500WHP range to be honest.....

You're crazy man,I would say out of all the cars I have owned my pustang, 240sx and Evo are at least a million times easier to work on than the STI. The only thing I can think of that's harder to do on the Evo is fill my windshield washer tank since it's located in the trunk and usually requires a funnel to fill. I wonder if they did the same "weight" distribution with the X's?

I figured it out. Last weekend I pulled the fuel fuse out of the STi just as a secondary measure against theft. Well, drunk guy in the dark can't put it in either.

Do you want me to block your power on the forum Mr Fuji?
