Here is a stupid question...if I go to a car wash and use a hose to hose out the engine bay...will that do unheard of damage to anything?
I figure no direct contact to things like filters or anything that gets extremely hot.
On my firebird I couldnt do underbody washes or hosing the engine bay because the optispark was ass backwards and would suck in water like a sponge.

I use to clean my engine all the time but don't use a high pressure hose... Some Gunk engine cleaner and a garden hose will do wonders. Just watch water near the intake.

Fortunately sadie's intake is still sheltered in box...just need to keep water out of her snorkus...most of the white powder stuff is dead center of the engine bay nowhere near the intake or battery.

In other news...February 15 Sadie is scheduled to meet with Best Buy...
* Installing Kicker 3 port Pos and Neg units to battery
* Installing Stinger 1/0g power wire for amps
* Installing Kicker 6.5" QR components
* Finding out size for rear speakers and installing Kicker speakers into rear doors
* Installing Stinger 12g speaker wire
* Installing Kicker ZX650.4 and Kicker ZX750.1 amps to replace Kicker 400.1 and Alpine 300.4 amps
* Installing twin Kicker 12" Comp subs from old box into new Impreza styled box
* Dynamatting all four doors
Still need to upgrade Big 3 with the 4g wire I bought and I dont figure best buy does that. xD

Monday February 13 - Sadie comes off storage insurance...
Tuesday February 14 - she goes in the shop with my mechanic to:
* Change oil from conventional 5w30 to AMSOIL Synthetic Euro Blend 5w40
* Change oil filter from standard to K&N Performance Oil Filter
* Inspect and Repair Hood latch - it seems to be exceptionally loose. I closed my hood the other day and went to test it with my fingertips and it popped right back open.
* Inspect and Repair DS Front Door - Door is a beast to close and while driving the sound of wind is annoying me, assume hinge is tweaked.
* Upgrade grounds to 4g wire - working with 20 ft of 4g wire will make that easy.
* Install Kicker battery connectors & kicker inline fuse - just need to figure out should the 100a or 200a inline go to the alternator.
* Upgrade Alternator to Battery to 1g wire - May as well since I ordered 20 ft of 1g wire for the stereo.
* Install Custom Powdercoated Hella Horn Kit

Picked up Sadie from mechanic this morning at 9:30 am...
Horns installed
Big 3 done (unconventionally and with 4g only but its done)
Door adjusted
Hood adjusted
Amsoil 5w40 synthetic in - will put in 5w30 in for fall and winter due to cold climate area
Performance (small) oil filter in because large filter would not fit so large gets sent to Bubba
Best buy is presently installing stereo goodies. Installer let me know that my new amp will be too much for my subs so he will have to tune it down and will try to locate my amps so they wont be sitting on the floor of the trunk. Maybe prop it against the rear seat or the sub box or something since just one of the amps is nearly as long as the sub box.
Mother is becoming as excited as me xD
Next year she wants me to find out what will be problematic on 2014 Subie to start researching what I will need to do to upgrade it once she buys it.
I told her once my build it done up next spring ill have half of my attention available for working on research for her future car xD
She is convinced that since I drive a subie and she LOVES my car that she wants an STI too for her next car after she gets back from Afghanistan.

Best Buy gave me 150$, which was half of the money I spent to fix Sadie's wiring mess they made - When I came out of Best Buy after getting the money I went back to my car and instantly wished I had a camera...not because anyone had damaged my car... In the parking spot immediately behind mine with its nose sniffing Sadie's ass like a pervert... Was a blue Mitsufesces Lancer Evolution... If I had a camera I would have taken a picture... If it hadnt been raining I would have left a note xD I know they had to have parked behind me for a reason since I wasnt parked even close to the store...

Recieved my new VA letter today...after three months of the VA telling me it was lost in the mail...
My VA disability is increasing from 80% (1475$) to 90% (2673$) per month starting November 2011...
Additionally I have been approved of 100% Unemployability (2673$) per month starting November 2010...
Per my math which may not match VA math...the start of April I should be recieving a check for 57257$ for backpay and April's benefits...
My parents have convinced me to at least put 10000$ into the account for my car payments so I can rebuild my credit...
But that still leaves me 47257$ as of April to work with on Sadie...
I guess this is my way of saying, GINO! I needchur help to work on my list! xD

Scott Shevlin of Punisher Tuning and Performance by just looking at pictures of Sadie was able to tell me about parts I didnt even know were on Sadie at all...
I had no clue the BOV wasnt a stocker - but come to find out its an APEX BOV (which of course has to go, to be replaced by a COBB BPV)
I had no clue the downpipe wasnt stock either - but that is an Invidia Bellmouth Catless DP.
Sadie has clearly been holding out on me - but not knowing if she has ever been tuned and fearing the worst - I have placed an order forward for a Cobb AP.
Makes me wonder what other secrets will turn up as the build progress turns up.
