- Does air suspension REALLY handle that well? Every so often there is a stanced tool on any one of the car enthusiast FB pages that claims his bagged STi handles better than almost anyone's convention suspension setup. Maybe I'm behind the times...but my brain is shouting "BULLSHIT!".

i wouldnt say better that a coilover system but there is something called "bagovers" basically a coilover with a bag system around it so while you are driving you still have the stiffness from the coils but going over bumps and what not you still have the bags. i forget the name of the company but ive seen alot of autox cars using that type of setup. they have management systems now that can adjust the air pressure in each strut to compensate for body roll and cornering all while the car is in motion. much like electronic adjustable dampening on a coilover. air suspension has come a long way but no for performance and handling i would still go with a coilover.

- I'd imagine that kind of setup would wipe out my spending money for the rest of the year though...right? The only reason I'd ever put a bagged suspension setup on the Batmobile was to raise it way up in the air and go off road, not sit it on the pavement like most chodes seem to do.

I feel that the Batmobile could go almost anywhere with more ground clearance and the right tires. Seeing how I hunt a lot, I often want to drive down an old logging road aways so I don't have to drag the deer so far.

it can definitely get pricey but if you already have a set of coilovers compatible with the bagover system it eats a decent chunk of it. it also depends on which system you go with and which management system. there are a lot of variables.

- Ehhh...I'll stick with my adjustable gas shocks and lowering springs. Maybe one day I'll get a beater truck, or better yet a Subaru Baja or something.
